I like games, i like to play them, mod them, code them, design them and make them.
I have made a few of them, paticipated in others and modded for others.
D.A.R.T - Danger Action Robot Team.
Best damn game i ever took part in making, i did half of all enviroments two of the robots and most of the the gamedesign.
In the game you have to contol 8 robots(two of each kind) and make your way trough a minefield, in order to complete the corse you have to collect 5 clues and then find the exit without getting blown into tiny fleshy chunks.
The game was made in a one month project with 3 other project members, two programmers and another graphics artist, with each of us recomended work about 200 hours on this game.
And allthough we like to, licensing issues prevent us from distirbuting this game for all eternety. :)
With that said, let me say this, "The last chapter of D.A.R.T might not yet be written".
Xmas ball.
In late 2002 in the end of the first term of my studies at gsCEPT we had a small project in where we built small lego robots to compete against each other.
This game was written to complement the homepage and advetising we had to to in the project.
It took me about 6 hours to finish it using the coldfire engine (witch had not even close to the amount of features it has today), and even though it was made in a hurry it actuarly bacame playable.
you can get it on the main site.
Project AI.
This was an interesting project even though the result was less that what we wanted it to be.
The game was supposed to be sort of an MMORPG game, but the game wasn't it's main objective, rather the AI in the game.
The AI we wrote was a cool new thing that noone has really tried for a game, it's called RAIS (Reputation Artificial Inteligence System) and deals with spreading rumors and reputation and those things.
Project AI was built on the OGRE engine and we did the network, colition ,navigation and so on, personaly i was responsible for the graphics and animations + design related to that.
The result was not as we wanted, we could have used a month or two more to make things playable, but atleast you could walk around in a multiplayer enviroment and fight enemies(slimes and wolfes)
Foreign Ground.
Foreign ground is a sort of an training simulator for peace keeping troops in development by dataductus, LTU and FHS(FörsvarsHögskolan).
I was with the project when is first started, i made a number of objects for it, and just today(2005-09-28) i got a mail from one that still works on it, he said that some soldier that where testing it suddenly shouted "Hey, that's my tank".
This confirms that my stuff actuarly made it trough the first release, and it makes me all warm an fluffy inside.
On this project i made the CV9040c the main vehicle in the game, a pickup truck, some powerpoles, some concept art + misc other crap and a whole lot of research.
Note:some of the images are renderd in maya and some ingame(ut2004)
Note #2: i actualy saw the final prototype for the game a few days ago and it looks pretty spectacular.
Future work.
Well what is planed in the future, i don't know, you decide.
Obviously there is going to be a D.A.R.T 2, it's allready in the planning and allthough only a few lines has been written on this i can say that it's going to be better than the first one.
I am allso starting to design/write a what i call super game, it's a bit larger and better and takes more time and money to make than any other game.
Allthough i don't expect that it will ever be done, one could hope though.
I allso have a few other ideas i want to pen down and maybe make, contact me if your interested.
